Color Doppler VS Power Doppler
What is the Color Doppler?
This type of Doppler changes sound waves into different colors for displaying to show the speed and direction of blood flow in real-time
It can be used to estimate the blood flow through your blood vessels by bouncing high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) off circulating red blood cells. A regular ultrasound uses sound waves to produce images, but can't show blood flow.
What is the Power Doppler?
Power Doppler is based on the detection of slow blood flow signals, removes the frequency shift signal, and uses the amplitude signal formed by the scattered energy of red blood cells to display the distribution of small blood vessels more sensitively.
What is the Difference between Color Doppler and Power Doppler?
Color Doppler converts the blood flow measurements into an array of colors to help show the speed and direction of blood flow through the vessel.
Power Doppler is even more sensitive than color Doppler in detecting blood flow, although it does not provide information about the direction of blood flow.
Dawei High-end color ultrasonica diagnostic apparatus, DW-T8, not only have Power Doppler Imaging (PDI), but Directional Power Doppler Imaging (DPDI).
